I’ve always had a thing for Kate. She is the queen of the muse and in this unique behind the scenes video for Balmain, she is as enchanting as ever.

Where Motivation found its Inspiration

Apart from being hopelessly obsessed with Kelly Rowland’s dubstep-infused slow-jam ‘Motivation’, I also can’t help but absorb every second of its dark but saturated visuals without blinking an eye.

I must admit I love what Sarah Chatfield did with the direction of this sensual yet sex-dripping video, but it reminds me of Mikael Jansson’s ‘Let’s Get Lost’ editorial published over a year ago in the Interview Magazine.

Daria Werbowy is the centre of attention, surrounded by the uber-cool cast of talented models: Cabral, Salieu Jalloh, Oraine Barrett, Pablo Contreras, Dorian Cobb, David Agbodji, Manuel Ramos, Kelly Moreira, Sedene Blake, Ajak Deng and Lisalla Montenegro.

Karl Lagerfeld + Rachel Bilson for Magnum Ice Cream

There was so much promise of it being delicious. Just think about: a movie shot by Karl Lagerfeld for Tribeca Film Festival starring Rachel Bilson eating ice-cream while being photographed by Baptiste Giabiconi. Sounds like you couldn’t go wrong… Be your own judge and let the video speak for itself.

Not thrilled? Didn’t think so.

Tom Ford Eyewear S/S 2011

Because fronting Spring/Summer 2011 for Hugo Boss, Versace, Donna Karan and ck One wasn’t enough, Melbourne’s very own Abbey Lee Kershaw has been chosen to be the face of Tom Ford’s latest eyewear campaign. Looking pure and classy, she captures the essence of sexed up genteelness.

Seduction and refinement thoroughly stirred, but not shaken.. We love the campaign and can not wait to see the full range. In the meanwhile, ladies and gentlemen, here are our haute picks!

Ginta Lapina - the face of YSL Beauté Spring 2011

YSL Beauté Spring 2011

Angelic beauty with Latvian heritage, Ginta Lapina got my attention a year ago fronting YSL Rouge Pur ad campaign shot by the bad boy Terry Richardson. The Baltic stunner looked seductive yet innocent, provoking yet refined, and managed to get stuck in my mind as a fresher version of Natasha Poly (Go figure!) This year it came at no surprise to me that YSL continued working with Ginta by selecting her as a face of the Spring 2011 campaign.

‘After a rock and baroque themed winter, spring is back with a burst of seemingly innocent purity. Sensual full lips in bright pink or coral light up the face. A bold touch of eyeliner completes the look.” says Yves Saint Laurent’s newly appointed international make-up artist Lloyd Simmonds.

Ginta makes me proud to have come from Latvia and I cannot stop admiring her ability to translate a wide array of looks while remaining herself – just take a look at some of her recent runway appearances.

Keira Knightley: Chanel Superwoman
Keira Knightley for Coco Mademoiselle

Shot by Mario Testino

It’s been 10 years since Chanel’s legendary ‘nose’ Jacques Polge revealed a magic combination of the Tunisian curaçao, Italian jasmine, Indonesian patchouli and Haitian vetiver amongst many other exotic ingredients of the vibrant Coco Mademoiselle. Since then teenage voguettes around the world found a reason to shop at Chanel. Papa Karl, we applaud you for taking a fresh look at the timeless elegance of Chanel Woman and creating a more relevant Chanel Superwoman. She wastes no time zipping from Place Vendôme to Place de la Concorde on her Ducati from the 70s stealing and breaking hearts along her way.

Directed by Joe Wright, captured by Mario Testino and accompanied by Joss Stone’s version of ‘It’s a man’s world’, ladies and gentlemen, please take three-something minutes to enjoy the story of Chanel Superwoman:

You can leave your hat on

Amanda Johnstone’s Hat Mansion provides inspiration for this week’s episode of Haute TV – a focus on Isabella Blow. When tragedy, flamboyance and fashion collide we are left with a lasting image of a lady with red lipstick in a crazy hat.
